WINNFIELD — Funeral services for Charles Edward Jurek, 40, of Winnfield, were at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home with Father Edmond L. Gagne officiating.

Mr. Jurek died Monday at the Confederate Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield.

Mr. Jurek was a native of Gonzales, Tex., and a drilling company employe.

Survivors include four brothers, James Jurek and Robert Jurek, both of Winnfield, Terry Jurek and Jerry Jurek, both of Cuero, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Earline Blanchard of Houston, Tex. and Mrs. Debbie Folden of Winnfield; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Jurek of Winnfield.
