Dorothy Fry, born Jan.1, 1933 in Hays, KS to Matilda (Lillie) and Aloysius (Al) Gerstner was the oldest of five children. She attended 1st - 5th grades at St. Joseph's Grade School in Hays. The family moved to Denver, CO in 1943 where she attended 6th - 8th grades at St. Elizabeth's Grade School, then graduating from Cathedral High School in 1950. Upon graduating she worked as a secretary to the Director of National Catholic Community Service and later as clerk Typist for the Denver Rotary Club, clerk typist in personnel at the Air Force Finance Center and several other Denver businesses over the years. On Nov. 25, 1951 she married Louis F. Myers in Denver and eventually adopted five children. In 1975 Dorothy and Lou divorced and in 1976 she married Oral R. Fry. They continued living in the Denver area until Oral's retirement when they moved to Palisade, NE for 1 1/2 years, then to Grand Junction, CO in 1999. When Oral passed away Dec. 8, 2008 Dorothy continued to live in Grand Junction until August of 2011 when she moved to Panorama Point in Westminster (Senior Apartments). She is survived by her son Rick Myers (Karen), Steamboat Springs, son Kip Myers, daughter Kelly Myers, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, brother Allen Gerstner (Dorothy), Fred (Ronnie), brother-in-law Frank Kafka (Norma), brother-in-law D.D. (Buck) Garrett (Marion). She was preceded in death by her 9 month old daughter Robin and 18 year old daughter Kristie, two sisters, Mary Frances Kafka and Marilyn Garrett and her parents Lillie and Al Gerstner.
