Billy Joe Waldrop

Billy Joe Waldrop, 72, of Mayfield, Ky., died 7:05 a.m. Nov. 16, 2009, at Murray (Ky.)-Calloway County Hospital. He was a retired employee of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, with the Rev. Al Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens

Pallbearers will be Hollie Crittendon, Wes Murphy, Tony Tyler, Rick Waldrop, Scott Waldrop and Jamie Lee.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

He was a Baptist and is survived by his wife, Faye (Harrison) Waldrop; four daughters and his son-in-law, Linda Brumley of Chicago, Benita Sharp and Beth Stephens, both of the Lynnville (Ky.) community, and Christy and Ronnie Outland of Payneville, Ky.; two sons and his daughter-in-law, Gregory Dick and Steve and Melissa Dick, all of Mayfield; his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Martha Waldrop of Murray; two sisters, Manon Canter and Louise Wyatt, both of Mayfield; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olus and Zada (Hill) Waldrop; his first wife, Marlon (Suggs) Waldrop; and his sister, Beauton Hill.
