Obituary: The Randolph Leader, 24 November 1993

ROANOKE, AL -- Funeral services for Vera Mozel Hall Adamson, 91, of Route 2, Roanoke, were Tuesday, November 23, 1993, at 2 p.m. from Rock Mills United Methodist Church, with Rev David Holmes officiating. Burial followed at Wehadkee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Adamson died Sunday, November 21, 1993 at Traylor Nursing Home in Roanoke.

A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mrs. Adamson was born April 22, 1902, in Chambers County, daughter of Charlie Marion and Martha Louise Hollis Hall. She was a member of Rock Mills United Methodist Church and had retired from Wehadkee Yarn Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lane Adamson; a daughter and son-in-law, Melba and A. G. Richardson; and a granddaughter, Beverly Lea Hannah.

Survivors include four daughters, Irma Gean Pike of Roanoke, Juanita Adamson of Newnan, GA, Helen Hannah of Dalton, GA and Estell Hornsby of Franklin, GA; two sons, Awbrey Adamson of Fairburn, GA, and Edward Adamson of Franklin; one sister, Mrs. Evie Plugis of Newnan; one brother, Ervin Hall of Rock Mills; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Terry Wilson, Eddie Adamson, Garry Adamson, Kevin Adamson, Tim Crouch, Jerry Prince, Billy Richardson and Tom Ziglar.

Quattlebaum Funeral Home of Roanoke was in charge of arrangements.
