Dean was a member of the Church of Christ in Kermit and also a non-practicing Mason. He loved to garden and gather pecans as well as help others. Dean enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1942 and achieved the rank of Corporal before being discharged in 1946. He participated in Pacific Theater against enemy forces on Okinawa, Ryukyu Islands in May of 1945. He was awarded a good conduct medal, as well as an honorable discharge button.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Ellen Farmer; his parents: Louis and Opal Farmer; one sister: Mildred Berry and one grandson: Nathan Farmer.
Funeral Services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Family Services Funeral Chapel in Kermit TX with Brother Brian McGonagill officating and assisted by Brother Joe Carrasco.
