Terry C. Dunlap, of Beaverton, OR and formerly of Beech Creek, PA, entered into Heavenly rest February 2.

He was a son of the late Raymond M. and Olive B. Hunter Dunlap.

Mr. Dunlap retired as a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army after 27 years of active duty, which included two tours in Viet Nam. After his retirement, he worked for five years as a civilian in the Federal Civil Service at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and at the Pentagon. Mr. Dunlap received a bachelorís degree in business administration from the University of Missouri at Rollah. He received many service metals and commendations throughout his military career including a Bronze Star, Purple Heart and the Vietnamese Cross for Gallantry with Palm. In his spare time, Mr. Dunlap was active as a volunteer with the Special Olympics. He also coached and officiated youth baseball and football.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Arkus Dunlap, and two sons, Kevin Dunlap of Laurel, MD and James Dunlap of Woodbridge, VA; one daughter, Taryn Tacik of Newport News, VA; two stepdaughters, Wendy Beresheim of Rainier, WA and Susan of the Beaverton, OR area; five brothers, Thurlow K. Dunlap and Douglas D. Dunlap, both of Lock Haven, Randall D. Dunlap of Swissdale, Michael J. Dunlap of Williamsport, and Todd H. Dunlap of New Oxford; and two sisters Cynthia M. Wilson of Lock Haven and Lisa R. Rettstatt of Kissimmee, FL.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William L. "Billy" Dunlap, who departed this life in May 1962.

Interment was with full military honors.
