Marley D. Jeffers, 60, of Rt. 1 Huntsville, passed away in the Scott County Hospital Saturday, October 16. He was the son of the late Oscar Jeffers and the late Cindy Harness Jeffers, a member of the Capital Hill Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II, Son: Carlos Jeffers, Sister: Flora Mae Harness preceded him in death. Survivors: Three Sons: Lonas Jeffers, Harold Jeffers and Larry Dean Jeffers, Four daughters: Beulah Childress, Doris Weannie [Winnie], Judy Crabtree, Marie Jeffers, all of Rt. 1 Huntsville, Three brothers: Floyd Jeffers of Rt. 1, Huntsville, Loy Jeffers of Dayton, Ohio, L. D. Jeffers of Helenwood, Sister: Flossie Marcum of Rt. 1 Helenwood, Half Sister: Artencey Shannon of Robbins, Thirteen grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the Winona Baptist Church 1 p.m. Monday, October 18, with Rev. Carl Jeffers and Rev. Kenneth Jeffers officiating. Burial in the Winona Cemetery.
