He was employed by the Great Northern Railroad as a pumper and worked in several communities in the capacity. He finally located in Willmar, where he served in the same field until his retirement. He has made his home in Willmar the past 40 years.
Mr. Davis passed away on April 8th in the Rue Memorial hospital in Willmar where he was a patient for the past month. Death was due to a cancer, he had surgery about two weeks before his death.
He was married on September 18, 1918, to Lillian Ann Richards. One daughter preceded him in death. His son, Ralph is now living in Rockville, Md. Four brothers, two sisters and his parents also preceded him in death. There remain six grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Margaret Crow, one brother, John, both of Herman.
Rev. Schendel had charge of the chapel service, held at the Pearson Funeral Home. Mrs. Pearson sang two solos.
His fellow railroad workers were pall bears. Interment was at the Lakeside Cemetery in Herman. He was laid to rest beside his daughter.
He was the brother of the late Clarence Davis of Norcross.
