Obit: Ernestine (Freels) Adams, also known as "Granny", age 85, of Odessa, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at La Estancia Nursing and Rehabilitation in Phoenix, Ariz. She was born in Sunbright, Tennessee on January 7, 1927 to Ernest and Enon (Donahue) Freels.
Ernestine was a retired LVN, who firmly believed in the promise of Romans 8:28. She was a very unique individual, an original. She passed from this life into her eternal one on Independence Day, leaving them in laughter. "That's my mom - going out with a bang".
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of over 68 years: Marvin "Chester" Adams of Odessa, daughter: Jennifer Palmer and husband James of Casa Grande, Az; son: Sonny Adams and wife Joyce of Odessa; two brothers; David Freels and wife Toni of Odessa and Houston Freels of Riverside; one sister; Joyce Laub of Odessa; 3 grandchildren; Rachel and Jerry Curtis; Chris Palmer and Amy Jo and Pete Geiter; grandson-in-law; Tommy Adams; great-grandchildren; Matthew and Beckie Jones, Natasha and Justin Stewart, Caitlin Curtis, James Palmer, Andrew Palmer; Jonathan Palmer, Hannah Palmer, Stephen Geiter, and Josehua Geiter, and great-great grandchildren: Bailey and Jaycob Jones, and Nyla and Jarrett Stewart.
Her parents: Ernest and Enon Freels and one granddaughter; Linda Gale Adams, precede her in death".
