Laura was born at 7-13-19 W1 to Robert Johnston and Christina Mulberry. She was the 6th of seven children. At the age of four and a half, because of the death of her mother she went to live and be raised by the Wm. Doherty's. Laura had ten children, two being still born and 4 dying as children. She lost her leg from the knee down due to Diabetes. She was very active in her church (United) and she enjoyed playing pool.
