Carlisle Milford (Mel) Foreman of 453 West Antietam St. died at the Washington County Hospital Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 after an illness of a few minutes, aged 51 years.
He was born and reared in Hagerstown, son of the late Harry and Ruth (Numaker) [Nunamaker] Foreman. He was employed at Fairchild Aircraft for 25 years. He was a member of the Washington Square Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife
Mrs. Mildred (Messner) Lapole-Foreman;
daughter, Mrs. Jeroma Grimes, Hagerstown;
sons,
William and
Sonny Foreman, Hagerstown;
step-daughters,
Mrs. Virginia Lee Massey, Hagerstown,
Miss Carletta Mae Lapole and
Nancy Gertrude Lapole, both of Hagerstown;
eight grandchildren;
sister, Mrs. Joyce Siborg [Sjoborg] and
one niece, both of Sewickly, Pa.
The body was removed to the funeral home of A. K. Coffman where services will be held Friday morning at 11 o'clock by the Rev. Melvin D. Hughson. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7 until 9.
NOTE: His name is spelled CARLYLE in both his mother's and daughter's obituaries.
