ELMER ALLMAN SERVICES WEDNESDAY
Elmer C. Allman, 74, of 124 E. Laurel St., Seymour, died at 8:40 p.m., Sunday at Jackson Park Convalescent Center. He had been in failing health for four years.
Mr. Allman was retired fromArvin Industries after 30 years service and was a member of Seymour Bible Holiness Church.
He was born Feb. 28, 1912, in Seymour, to Bruce and Mary Baurle Allman. He married 3 Dec. 1947 in Seymour, to Alta Waggoner, who survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs Francis (Virginia) Kucheravy, New York; Mrs. Roger (Brenda) Boas, Wimauma, FL; Mrs. Ben (Rose) Hopkins, Seymour; three step-daughters, Mrs. Glen (Fernella) Pifer and Mrs, Lee (Sondra) Nowling, both of Seymour; and Mrs Larry (JoAnn) Brewington, Granite City, ILL.; two step-sons, Clarence Imlay, Seymour, and Robert Imlay, North Vernon R4; a brother Clarence E. Allman, Hayden; two sisters, Mrs. Lyman (Avis) Schafer and Mrs. Maurice (Ann) Steltenpohl. both of Seymour; an aunt, Rose Baurle, Seymour; seven grandchildren; 27 step grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lillian; two sons; a daughter; two sisters and a brother.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour, with the Rev. Vernon Pruiett officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial may be sent to the Cancer Fund or to the donor's choice.
