HANNIBAL - Anna Leona Powell, 92, of Hannibal, died at 5:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005, at Beth-Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at Smith Funeral Home & Chapel in Hannibal. Pastor Michael Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
Anna Leona Powell was born Jan. 24, 1913, in Marion County to Lee Roy and Annie E. Dalton Samuel. She was married on Aug. 15, 1930, to George Richard Powell. He died on Dec. 11, 1977.
Survivors include a daughter, Juanita M. Powell of Hannibal; four grandchildren, Sherrill Moline and husband, Dale, of Hannibal, Danette Peele and husband, David, of East Hampton, N.Y., and Clifford Wayne Powell Jr. and Kevin Ray Powell, both of Hannibal; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ida Mae Powell; a son-in-law, Clifford W. Powell Sr.; a granddaughter, Melinda Sue Powell; two brothers, a half-brother; and six sisters.
Mrs. Powell was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and had worked for 20 years as a nurse's aide at Levering Hospital.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Powell, Cliff Powell Jr., Donald Stolberg, Bernard Powell, Dale Moline and Scott Snyder.
