Lois was a homemaker. Described as a kind and very loving person, she enjoyed cooking, raising chickens, fishing, working in the garden and listening to gospel music. She was a member of the South Roxana Assembly of God Church.
At the time of her death at Alton Nursing and Rehab, Lois was 86 years, 5 months and 30 days old. She was survived by 1 daughter and son-in-law of Bethalto, Illinois; 3 grandchildren and 1 step-grandson; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; 1 son, Larry Draper; and siblings, Elsie, Howard, Ollie, Leslie, Ralph, Vertie, Beulah, Thelma and Daisy.
Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m. on 01 Feb 2013 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral services were conducted there at 10 a.m. on 03 Feb 2013. Lois was buried next to her husband, Clifford, who passed away in 2011.
The family requested that memorials, if desired, be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
