William Roy Baxley, 67, died Saturday, August 18, in a Downey sanitarium after a long illness. Mr. BAXLEY was born in Arkansas and came to the South Bay in 1946. He lived at 1103 Slauson Lane in North Redondo.
He is survived by his wife, Gillian Oriole; three sons, William, Jack L., and Maicle; three daughters Thelma, Mrs. Geraldine Lee and Mrs. Betty Olsen; 17 grandchildren; 1 great grand-child and three sisters and a brother in Texas.
Funeral services for Mr. Baxley will held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, at the Hermosa Beach Church of the Nazarene. Officiant will be the Rev. Wayne C. Jones. Interment will be in Pacific Crest Cemetery.
