BULLOCK , HAZEL REBECCA ORTH, 90, of Somers Point, died at home on November 16, 2002. Hazel was born March 8, 1912 in Shelby County, IA. The oldest of a family of six born to Jacob DeKalb Orth and Anna Grace Wink Orth, In June of 1921, they moved to Fort Littleton, PA, DeKalb Orth's hometown. Hazel graduated from high school in 1932 and came to New Jersey to study Nursing at the Atlantic City Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1935. In 1936, she married Bart A. Bullock . Hazel was a member of the Atlantic City Hospital Nursing Alumni Association, the First Presbyterian Church of Atlantic City, and The Granny Club of Atlantic City.
Mrs. Bullock is survived by her three children, Richard Alan Bullock and his wife Paula Jean, Daniel Bart A. Bullock and his wife Cassie Folis Bullock , Paula Diane Bullock and her husband Frank Finnerty. Also one brother, Wendell Paul Orth of Chambersburg, PA, and cousins, Richard Fraker of Saltillo, PA and Helen Osborne of Johnstown, PA. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Bethlee Andrea Bullock Rosa and her husband Rick R., J. Bart A. Bullock , Daniel A. Bullock and his wife Erika Wong, Faith Katherine McAdam, Richard Alan Bullock , Paula Marie Bullock , Kelly Finnerty Grimley and her husband Thomas, Michael Finnerty, Patrick Finnerty, and Michael Folis and great grandchildren, Andrea Thyrring and Donny Bart Andrew Bullock .
Her Life Celebration and Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Jeffries & Keates Funeral Home, Tilton Road and Infield Ave., Northfield, where relatives and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Friends of Jean Webster's Kitchen
