BROWNING, May Elizabeth, age 80, of Chesapeake, VA, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013.
May was born on June 14, 1932, in Moundsville, the daughter of the late Charles and Verna Gallaher.
May graduated from Moundsville High School in 1950; and as a resident of Moundsville, she was a dedicated member of Trinity Episcopal Church; and was an avid Mountaineer and Steeler fan.
I n addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Charles Browning, Jr of Moundsville.
She is survived by her sons, Chauncey Browning III of Chesapeake, Va, Charles Browning of Charleston WV, and Steve Browning of Henderson, TN; brothers, Charles "Gig" Gallaher of Richmond, VA , and Joseph "Bud" Gallaher of Gaithersburg, Maryland; grand children, Olivia (Browning) Snider of Jefferson, NC, Chauncey Browning IV of Chesapeake, VA, Racheal Browning of Chesapeake, VA, Allison Browning of Parkersburg, WV, and Preston Browning of Charleston, WV; and great-grandchildren, Kaleb Snider, Amara Snider, Lillian Snider, Ani Snider, and Karac Snider, all from Jefferson, NC.
Fa mily will receive friends on Sunday from 2 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, Oak & Linden Avenues, Moundsville with Rev. Bruce Bevans officiating.
Interment in Mt. Rose Cemetery, Moundsville.
