Jane M. Aase, 91, of Kenyon, died Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Kenyon Sunset Home.

She was born July 28, 1921 in Goodhue County, Minnesota the daughter of Edward and Emma (Kispert) Hildebrandt. After finishing school Jane helped raise kids when families and friends needed help. She married Daniel Flom August 11, 1942 and he died in WWII on April 28, 1945. She later moved to Faribault and then Kenyon where she worked at the Kenyon Bowlatorium where she met David Aase and later married him on April 28, 1948. She worked at the Kenyon Sunset Home for 26 1/2 years where she cherished the working relationships she developed there, especially the one with the "best boss in the world" Albion Rodde. She was also a correspondent for the Kenyon Leader for 47 years writing the Moland news. She was a farm wife and a terrific cook. She was very active at Moland Lutheran Church where she was involved as Ladies Aid president, taught Sunday school, church council secretary, and helped with quilting. Jane was a member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary of Kenyon and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary of Faribault. Jane was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed by her 7 children, 10 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren, as well as many friends and neighbors.

She is survived by her children Daniel (Carol) Aase, Charles (Lori) Aase, Mary (Craig) Vangsness, Debra Aase, Julie (Jon) Broin, Robert Aase, and Kristine (Ron) Mills, grandchildren Christopher (Stacy) Aase, Jon (Jodi) Aase, Karyn (Greg) Jesseritz, Katie (Mike) Block, Troy Vangsness, Brandon Aase, David (Lauren) Aase, Brianna Mills, Maggie Broin, and Madeline Aase. She is also survived by her great- grandchildren Camden and Haidyn Aase, Nicholas and Tyler Aase, Parker and Megan Jeseritz, and Ryan Block, two sisters Alice Helgeson, and Ruth Jacobson, and sister- in- law Hilda Hildebrandt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, sisters Fern Flom, Elaine Walsh, Marian McVary, and brother Marvin Hildebrandt, infant brother Roland, and infant granddaughter Theresa Broin.

Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Tuesday February 5, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at Moland Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Moland Lutheran Church with The Reverend Nancy Edwardson officiating. Interment will be in the Moland Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Moland Lutheran Church or the Kenyon Sunset Home. Remember to feed and water the birds.
