WELSH--------- Funeral services for Amaduce Bertand of Lake Charles, 66, year old father of Elrey Bertrand of Welsh, were held on Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile at 11:00 a.m. Burial followed in the Langley Cemetery in Basile.
Mr. Bertrand was a native of Acadia Parish and moved to Lake Charles about 2 1/2 years ago. He was a veteran of World War I . He passed away at the Elery Bertrand residence in Welsh on Sunday morning, July 8, 1962, following seven years of illness.
Survivors are his wife , Mrs Marie Marcantel Bertrand of Lake Charles; two sons, Elrey Bertrand of Welsh and Lee Wilson Bertrand of Lake Charles; two daughters, Mrs Dewey ( Amedia Bertrand) Mott and Mrs. Garland (Olive Del Bertrand) Domingue both of Lake Charles ; and by ten grandchildren.
