Leslie Brandon Bowen, 89, died at the Taylor County Hospital, Tuesday, June 1, 1976. He was a native of Taylor County, born here February 28, 1887; the son of the late John Thomas and Louisa Chelf Bowen. Mr. Bowen was a resident of 404 Lowell Avenue, a member of the First United Methodist Church and a retired farmer. His wife, Mrs. Lola Holt Bowen of Campbellsville, survives with five sons and six daughters: Raymond T. Bowen of Louisiana, Leslie B. Bowen, Jr. of Fairfield, Ohio, James Edward Bowen of Clarkson, Ky., Robert Earl Bowen of Louisville, and Billy Ray Bowen of Anderson, Indiana, Mrs. Doyle Hiestan of Campbellsville, Mrs. C. W. Turner of Campbellsville, Mrs. Wilson Craig and Mrs. George Anderson of Largo, Florida, Mrs. Paul Morgan of Louisville, and Mrs. Clark Glasscock of Louisville. Also surviving is one sister: Mrs. John D. Previett of Louisville; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Lyon Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m., Friday, June 4, with Rev. Richard Ramsey of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment followed in Brookside Cemetery.
