Lois Alexander Woody, 78, of Asheville,NC, died on Monday February 4, 2013, at the John F.Keever Hospice Solace Center.
A native of Buncombe Co., Mrs Woody was a daughter of the late Jasper Allen and Lois Davis Alexander. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jasper Bruce Alexander.
A graduate of Lee H.Edwards High School,Mrs Woody retired as an RN after working at various facilities in Tennessee and North Carolina. She was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church.
Mrs. Woody is suvived by her husband of 57 years;two daughters, two sons, and one daughter-in-law, all of Asheville; two sisters and seven grandsons.
Funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. Rev. Nathan Pruett officiating. Interment at Green Hills Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Grace Baptist Church Youth Ministry in Memory of Lois Woody, 718 Haywood Rd. Asheville NC 28806
