Mr. Rudolph Charles Hayden (sic) passed away at the St. Francis hospital in this city on Sept. 5, following an operation performed nine weeks ago for appendicitis and other complications. The deceased was born at Davenport, Ia., on June 25, 1858, and was 62 years of age. On Feb. 23, 1883, he was united in marriage at Wolcott. Ia., to Miss Bertha Trien (sic). In 1894 the family moved to Ord, Valley county, Neb., and settled on a farm where they have resided. Besides the bereaved widow he is survived by four daughters. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Lutheran church on East Second street, the deceased having been reared in the Lutheran faith and was an active member of that church. Interment will be made in the Grand Island cemetery.
