She was born in East Grand Forks, Minn., and married Sidney in 1936. They moved from Minot, N.D., to Brooks in 1960 and farmed there. She worked for the Bureau of Land Management until retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church and enjoyed playing cards, gardening, reading and camping in her motorhome. Her husband died in 1987.
Survivors include her daughters, Leah Garcia and Laurel Carnine, both of Salem, Linda Leach of Albany; son, Peder of Salem; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visiting will be noon to 8 p.m. Thursday in Virgil T. Golden Funeral Home. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Brooks Pioneer Cemetery. Contributions: Willamette Valley Hospice.
