Blanche L. Pearson was born on February 3, 1903 in Tioga, Iowa the daughter of Calvin and Lena Taylor Wymore. She was united in marriage on March 10th, 1920 to John Lewis Pearson at Squire Beacon's in Oskaloosa.

Blanche spent her life as a homemaker and raising her five children. In 1973 John and Blanche moved from the farm into Oskaloosa. Blanche's memory is honored by her daughter Rebecca Krusemark of Oskaloosa, two daughter-in-laws; Doris Pearson of Albia, and Geraldine Pearson of Hiawatha, Iowa, nine grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great and great-great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, three sons; Donald, Glenn, and Joseph E. "Gene" Pearson, a daughter; Ila Mae Pearson, three brothers; Glenn De Witt, Gerald Havens, and Woodrow Havens, and four sisters; Nellie Selvy, Irene Arnold, Fern Johnson, and Zelma Noe.

Mrs. Pearson was educated in the Tioga area and attended the North Taylor Country School. After completing school she took care of her grandmother and other elderly people in the area.

Blanche enjoyed raising flowers, gardening, canning and rocking and loving her granchildren. She was a member of the Tioga Church where she taught Sunday and Bible school.
