Esther is survived by her husband Luther of Monroe; two sons, Albert (Deborah) Conner and Lou Conner, both of Monroe; a brother David (Theresa) Fisher of Trenton, MI; two sisters, Joan Fisher of Flat Rock, MI and Grace Rocheleau of Carleton, MI; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Gerald (Jerry) Conner; brother Albert Fisher; sister-in-law Stella Fisher; and great-granddaughter Gabriella Conner.
Esther was a homemaker but she also worked for ten years at the former Conners A1 Watch and Clock Repair business in downtown Monroe. Esther was a former volunteer and member of the Mercy Memorial Hospital Guild where she served as its first president. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, bowling, and was also a former Sunday school teacher at Trinity Lutheran Church.
It was an honor to call you my second "mom" I enjoyed our talks we had together. You were sweet, tender, and had a kind heart. I know you are with Jerry now. You both were a blessing in my life and I hold you each close to my heart.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's
Association.
The funeral will be held Monday February 11, 2013 at noon. Burial will follow at Monroe Township Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 1 – 8 p.m. Sunday at Rupp Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Rev. Lawrence Detruf of the First Church of God will officiate.
