MRS. BESSIE LEE THOMAS, wife of William Edgar Thomas Sr., of 348 S. Locust St., died Monday at 4 pm at Washington County Hospital, aged 73 years.

Born in Shepherdstown, W. Va., she had resided in Hagerstown for the past 30 years.

Surviving besides her husband are daughters, Mrs. Edna Stotler, Westfield, NJ; Mrs. Frances V. Ebersole and Mrs. Florence Monninger, both of Hagerstown; Mrs. Betty I. Socks, Williamsport; and Goldie V. Thomas, at home; sons, Norman Lee, Martinsburg, W. Va.; Charles R. and William E., both of Hagerstown; Fred R., at home; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
