Rebecca Ladd was a daughter of Asa and Mary (Chalfant) Ladd. She was a Quaker, but married out of meeting 15 Dec 1841 in Highland Co., OH, Henry Alderman. She condemned her marriage contrary to discipline at Fairfield Friends Meeting on the 24th of 3rd mo 1842. She was the mother of two daughters: Marianne and Caroline.
