In her booklet about the Nortonville, KS, Seventh Day Baptist Church, Kathryn K. Niemann wrote about Pastor Cottrell and Margaret (pp. 37-41). “Margaret Cottrell, the pastor’s wife was especially interested in the young people of the church. She had a beautiful voice and was a prominent leader and soloist in the church choir. She always had a kind word and no social gathering was complete without her cheery smile. She was an able leader in all parts of church work. Mrs. Cottrell was Secretary of the Missionary Society for three years and Corresponding Secretary for three years. They were parents of two children, Harriet and Paul.”
