She was born on Feb. 15, 1908 in Eden, the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Wollert Ernst. She was united in marriage to Ralph F. Kraning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eden on June 30, 1934. Her husband preceded her in death on Dec. 16, 1965.
Ida was blessed again in marriage to Joseph J. Krueger at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee on Sept. 21, 1968. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1980.
Ida was an active member of several churches for many years, belonging to the Christian Mothers Society at St. Elizabeth Church in Milwaukee, Gesu Church in Milwaukee, a member of the Third Order of St. Francis, Milwaukee and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.
Besides her active Christian and political life, she was a 50 year member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. She had a great love of being around family, cooking and tending to her garden and flowers.
Survivors include one brother, Raymond (Rosella) Ernst of Plymouth; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one sister, Stella (Tramm) Benn and three brothers, Martin Ernst, Charles (Mary) Ernst and Roman (Lilah) Ernst; and a special nephew close to her heart, Scott R. Schneider.
