LE ROY — Mrs. Sophia Balonek of Red Mill Road, Le Roy, passed away Sunday morning (Dec. 2, 2012) at the Le Roy Village Green Nursing Home.
Sophia was born on Jan. 27, 1925, in Lowville to the late Louis and Anna (Markiewicz) Brzezowski.
She is predeceased by her husband, Stephen; and siblings, Stanley, John, Stella, Lottie, Frances, and Catherine.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Miller (Bob Scott) of Le Roy and Marcia Leach of Pavilion; sons, Ronald Balonek of Le Roy and Brian (Jennifer) Balonek of Churchville; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A Rite of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Mercy Parish (St. Peter's Building). Interment will immediately follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
