Kelley grew up in the Highlands and was a highly regarded and accomplished photographer. She owned and operated a photography business in Louisville, Kelley O'Bryan Photographer. She received a Bachelors degree in Spanish from U of L and obtained a Masters degree in Urban Planning from UCLA. Upon graduation, Kelley moved to San Francisco, CA, where she lived for many years. She worked in the Bay Area in her field of urban planning before returning to Louisville to pursue her love of photography and be closer to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy "Dot" O'Bryan; and brother, Joe Jr.
Kelley is survived by her brothers, Chris (Carol), Mark (Mary Lee) and Sean (Samantha); sisters, Mary Beth (Steve) and Julie (Gary); and nieces and nephews, Marea (Matt), Sean, Casey, Corey, Grace, Neal, Allison, Kelley, Anna, Charles, Abby, Katie, McKayla and Rowan.
Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. A memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at Highlands.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Kentucky Educational Television. Kelley was most passionate about the "good works" and educational services provided by KET.
