Pauline "Pat" Elizabeth Ingram Kafurry Kahrig, 89, of Cambridge, went to be with the Lord on Sunday (Jan. 8, 2012).
She was born Nov. 21, 1922 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Orville Ingram and Marie (Gibson) Ingram.
Mrs. Kahrig worked for many years at RCA and NCR. She was a 60-year member of St. John's Episcopal Church of Cambridge. She was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi, member of the Farm Bureau, Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center, and Ladies Eagles Aerie 386 Auxiliary and the Ladies VFW Post 2901. Mr. Kahrig was a volunteer at Southeastern Med and volunteered in the 1950's for the bloodmobile. She was a member of the Birthday club for 15 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in deth by her first husband and father of her sons, Raymond M. Kafury; her second husband, Ben F. Kahrig; a son, Gary Kafury; and a brother, Paul Thomas Ingram..
She is survived by Gary's widow, Marcia Kafury of Cambridge; a son, Tom (Becky) Kafury of Cambridge; two grandchildren, Cody Kafury and Whitney (James) Neff; two great-grandsons, Trent Kafury and Parker Neff; four stepchildren, Bill (Helen) Kahrig, Don (Darla) KAhrig, Jan KAhrig and Judy (Dennis) Starr; nine stepgrandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and many special friends.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20 in Guensey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
