Ruth Ida Bennett, 83, of Springfield, died Sunday in St. John's Hospital. Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of James and Kate (Sanner) Brooks. Mrs. Bennett was a member of Central Baptist Church. Her husband, Robert, and one son, John, preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen McGinnis and Mrs. Ruth Smith, both of Springfield; three sons, Fred (Fritz) of Riverton, Stewart and Robert, both of Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Ermann and Mrs. Esther Dunham, both of Springfield; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be in Ellinger & Kunz Funeral Home and burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
