Walter Alves
Walter Alves, 74, a former Town of Chase resident, died Wednesday, August 12, 1998 at Heritage Nursing Center, Sheboygan.
The son of the late Emil and Clara (Regal) Alves, Walter was born Sept. 18, 1923. He lived most of his life in the Town of Chase, working as a farm hand and pulp cutter. Walter loved hunting, fishing and maple syrup.
Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Agnes D. and Anthony Pyrek, Sheboygan Falls; one niece, Joyce (Lonnie) Genke, Gillett; two nephews, Thomas (Mona) Pyrek, Sheboygan Falls and Gary (Sharon) Pyrek, Portage. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Albert and one sister, Edna Peterson.
Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, after 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Heykes officiating. Burial will take place in the Town of Chase Cemetery.
