At the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alice G. Todd, in Louisville, on Thursday, Mrs. Naomi H. Gay, widow of the late M.A. Gay, of this county, aged about 78 years.

Mrs. Gay was for many years a resident of this county and city. While here on a visit a few months since, she was taken suddenly ill and her life was despaired of, but her constitution was strong and she rallied and was taken to her home in Louisville. She was an estimable lady and was held in high regard by her large circle of friends and relatives here.

Her maiden name was Bean, she belonging to the large family of that name in Clark and Montgomery counties.

She leaves two daughters (Mrs. Alice G. Todd, of Louisville, and Mrs. A. J. Graham, of this city), and one son (Mr. Jas P. Gay) to mourn her death.

The funeral took place from the chapel in our cemetery yesterday morning at 10:30 o'clock, the services being conducted by Rev. D. J. McClusky Blayney.
