Sam O'Bryan, 99, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville's inpatient unit at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was a native of Rhodelia, KY, a purchasing agent for Seagrams Distillery for 30 years and Falls City Brewery for 10 years. He was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church, a volunteer for Southeast Area Ministries and a former member of the Knights of Columbus and the Golden Key Club of St. Barnabas Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth C. O'Bryan; daughter, Charlene Pank; son, Larry O'Bryan; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

His funeral Mass will be held at noon Saturday at his church, 3042 Hikes Lane, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-5 and 6-9 p.m. Friday at Ratterman & Sons Family Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. Memorial gifts may go to the Nazareth Home, 2000 Newburg Rd., in Louisville.
