Katherine L. (Lehigh) Hagerman, 68, passed away at 11:08 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2013, at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Louis Hagerman. Katherine was born September 11, 1944, in Emigsville, and was the daughter of Edward Lehigh of York and the late Dorothy (Billet) Hess. She graduated in 1962 from Central High School in York. She was employed by Matrix Publishing in York. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Emigsville, where she served on several committees including United Methodist Women, Pastor Parish Relations Committee, Administrative Board, Outreach and Bible Study, and she served as Sunday School Secretary. Katherine is survived by her daughter, Robin Schriver and her husband, John of York; her two sons, Nevin Rentzel of York, and Gary Rentzel and his wife, Teresa of St. Stephens, S.C.; her stepson, Ryan Hagerman of Apex, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; her sister, Anna Mae Freeze and her husband, Donald of Emigsville; her half sister, Sue Billet of York; and her two half-brothers, Rick Lehigh and Steve Lehigh, both of York. Her memorial service will begin at 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 3241 N. George St., Emigsville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Officiating at her service will be her pastor, the Rev. Richard L. Bowers, and her former pastor, Dr. Eddie D.D. Miller.
