Madie Kidd age 91 years, 8 months, and 27 days of Stearns, Kentucky passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Brent Stephens and Bro. Bud Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Angel Cemetery.
She was born May 6, 1921 in Honey Bee, Kentucky to Walter E. Vanover and Nora (Perry) Vanover. Madie was a member of the Indian Creek United Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, and caring for her family. Madie loved her family and was a good mother.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Leonard Kidd whom she married June 19, 1937, a son, Jerry Kidd, a daughter, Betty Kidd, brothers, Willard, Loyie and Denver Vanover, and sister, Ilene Ross and Elvia Jones.
