CALLETTA, RUSSELL J. - a lifelong resident of Hammonton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 6th at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Pomona, surrounded by his family. Russell was born and raised in Hammonton, the eldest son of Frank and Mary Calletta. He was a World War II veteran and a member of The American Legion F.A. Funston Post 186. As a highly skilled glass-cutter, Russell started his glass cutting profession at the then family owned business of Calletta Cut Glass. He retired, together with his wife Marge, as the owners of La Crest Cut Glass. He was also a musician who enjoyed playing the trumpet in a family band that spent three decades performing throughout the South Jersey Region.

He is predeceased by his parents Frank and Mary Calletta, his brother John and his sister Grace Murray.

He is survived by Margaret "Marge" his loving wife of 62 years, his son Frank (Arlene), his daughter Joyce Perry (Bill). Grandchildren Lynne Dougherty (Michael), Frank (Michele), Lauren McBride (David), Kevin Perry. Great grandchildren Madison McBride, Colin and Ryan Dougherty.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Russell's Life Celebration and gathering Monday February 11, from 9:30am to 11:00am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, located at 3rd and French Sts. in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am. Entombment will follow in Greenmount Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in his honor to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, 226 French St., Hammonton, NJ., 08037. Arrangements are by the Carnesale Funeral Home. (www.carnesalefuneralhome.com)
