While at 6,000 feet over Bridgeport, Texas,
it collided with C-119C Flying Boxcar
transport #49-195 that had departed
Carswell with three aboard. The C-119 was
flying at the incorrect altitude.
Both aircraft crashed onto farmland near
Bridgeport, claiming the lives of all
fifteen on the C-124 and the three on the
C-119.
