Howard "Jerry" served as a Technical Sergeant & Left Waist Gunner on B-24H "Fritzi" (#41-29329). 752nd Bomber Squadron, 458th Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War 11.

He resided in Campbell County, Wyoming prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on January 7, 1942 at Fort Francis E. Warren, Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being Single, without dependents.

Howard was "Killed in Action"when his B-24, while on a bombing mission to Osnabruckon, was hit by enemy flak, broke apart, and crashed Southwest of Warendorf/Westfallen, Germany during the war. He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.

The entire crew of 11 were killed on this Mission.

He was originally interred overseas and was later repatriated here.
