Mary Alice Alsup, 83, of Gary, IN. died Wednesday morning in Sebo's Nursing Home. She was born April 29, 1920, in Heidelberg, MS., a daughter of Gus & Mattie (Clayton) Husband. On April 2, 1946 she married William Alsup of Gary, IN. She leaves behind four children; Janice Alsup of Gary, IN., Salim (Sukari) Rahim of Atlanta, GA., John Alsup of Gary, IN., and Norma Alsup of Valpariso, IN; four grandchildren, Anthony, Murray, Ras and Nubia. Also surviving is a brother Colonel Husband of Jones, MI, a sister-in-law, Willie Lee Husband of Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jehad Rahim, her parents, two sisters and five brothers.
