Evelyn R. Barker, 94, of Parkersburg, W.Va. died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.

She was born in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Thomas and Addie Sweezy Hutchinson.

Mrs. Barker was retired after 19 years of service with Sears and was a 1937 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She had been a member of Stout Memorial United Methodist Church for 50 years and had served on various committees and was a member of the JOY Class.

She is survived by a granddaughter, Ami Gieselman (Morris) of Fishers, Ind.; a grandson, Jeremy Bauerle (Jill) of Westfield, Ind.; five great-grandchildren, Kyle, Cameron and Katie Gieselman and Jason and Guin Bauerle; and a sister-in-law, Jean Hutchinson of Belpre, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Barker in 1999; and a brother, Charles Hutchinson.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg with the Reverend Dr. Paul D. Russell officiating. Interment will follow in Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until service time on Friday.
