Nelson Todd Bader, 76, died Sunday in Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born in Redkey, came to Muncie with his parents, James W. and Susan R. Collins, and attended Muncie schools.
Mr. Bader owned and operated Yorktown Auto Body until illness forced his retirement in 1963. Earlier, he had been a carpenter and had built several houses, including his present home, in the Muncie area. Mr. Bader played guitar with several bands in Muncie and Florida.
He was a member of Parker Lodge 630, F&AM.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Robers Bader, to whom he would have been married 50 years on May 15; a son, Robert Bader, Muncie; five daughters, Nancy Quinn, Princeton, N.J., Charlene Guinn, Yorktown, and Gloria Hannah, Marsha Michael and Linda Shiveley, all of Muncie; two sisters, Caroline VanHorn, Indianapolis, and Helen Dragoo, West Point, Miss.; a brother, James W. Bader, Gaston; 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Meeks Mortuary Chapel, with burial in Hawk Cemetery. Calling at the mortuary is 5-8 p.m. today or before services on Tuesday.
