My mom and Pat were best friends, and I can truly say that Pat never deserted my mom when her memory started to fail as others did. She was a true friend!

DAVIS - Patricia A. Anderson, 80, of Davis died at 4 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, after an automobile accident. Born Jan. 23, 1920, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter of Edward and Iva B. (Schneider) Miller. Rockford resident most of life. Married C. Robert Anderson in Rockford on Dec. 24, 1938. Employed as Illinois Bell Telephone operator. Was a Jenny Lind volunteer at Swedish American Hospital. Enjoyed quilting, sewing, painting and gardening. Survivors include husband, C. Robert Anderson; son, Rich Anderson of Machesney Park; daughters, Robbie Anderson of Boulder, Colo., and Pam Anderson of Brighton, Colo.; grandson, Eric Bishop; brother Don Miller; two other brothers and a sister. Daughter, Wendy Herbig of Seward, died with her mother in the same accident.

Memorial services at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, in Fred C. Olson Funeral Chapels Ltd, East Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., with the Rev. Wm. Richard Kerr Sr. officiating. No visitation. Memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation, in lieu of flowers.
