Married John James Mays. To this union, eight known children were born. Six are listed below, the others are:

1. Robert Lee Mayes (b. 31 Aug 1888 in London, Laurel Co., KY and d. 04 Mar 1951 in Bell Co., KY).

2. James Calvin Mays (b. 21 Jul 1894 in Emanuel, Knox Co., KY and d. 10 Apr 1949.

She died of a stroke, while visiting relatives at Grays, KY. Her age was 60 years. She had been ill with fainting spells, before her death. There is no death certificate record for her.

Her funeral was held under a tree at the cemetery as she had requested, and not inside the church, the 14th chapter of John was read at her funeral. Kelser Funeral Home, later Callison's handled the burial. Hensleys Chapel Cemetery is located on Hwy 441 in Noetown section of Middlesboro, Bell Co., KY.

Location: Middlesboro follow 441 around beltline to Noetown cemetery is at the Hensley church. It goes all the way to top of mountain. Most is grown up.

Charity Belle is listed as "age 3" on the 1870 census.
