SALTILLO-Jewel Mae "Sible" Thrasher, 67, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, at her home in Saltillo as the result of a house fire. A Native and life long resident of Lee County, she was born June 7, 1934, to Beland Dill and Flora Mae Bell Dill. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Danny Robbins and the Rev. Bobby Upchurch officiating. Burial will be in the Fellowship Cemetery near Saltillo.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Ruble Thrasher of Saltillo, four daughters, Stella Louise Bryant and husband, Larry, of Saltillo, Gloria Jean Thrasher of Verona, Janice Marie Childers and husband Steven of Saltillo, Patty Edge and husband Clem of Skyline, four sons, Michael Joe Thrasher and wife Lucy of Skyline, Daniel Thomas Thrasher and wife Fredia, of Saltillo, Roger Dale Thrasher and wife Barbara of Mantachie, and Christopher Howard Thrasher of Saltillo, six sisters, Pauline Dunaway of Nettleton, Myrtle Lindsey of Saltillo, Jessie Rae Martin of Baldwyn, Laura Turner of Saltillo, Arlene Strickland of Plantersville, and Linda Ridgeway of Verona, two brothers, Audie Dill of Pontotoc, and James Dill of Saltillo. 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Larry Bryant, Greg Bryant, Ray Thrasher, Steven Childers and Scotty Daniels.
