Thomas Dudley Cundiff, Jr., age 65, West Aleck Street, died at 3:221 p.m. Friday, May 17, 1991, at Marion General Hospital. He was born on October 27, 1925, in Converse to Thomas and Helen Lockman Cundiff. On June 24, 1960, he married Mary Townsend Ahnert, who survives.
He retired from Fisher Body (now Chevrolet-Pontiac-Canada Group General Motors Corp.) in Marion. A World War II Navy veteran, he was a member of the Peru Moose Lodge and the Sympathy Club.
Also surviving are four sons, Tony Cundiff of Omaha, Nebraska, Thomas Cundiff of West Terre Haute, John Cundiff of Riley, and Mark Ahnert of Converse; two daughters, Sandy Hendershot of Converse and Suzan Cundiff of Sacramento, California; a sister, Patricia Erickson of Grand Blanc, Michigan; and eight grandchildren. Three grandchildren preceded him in death.
The Rev. David Wheeler will lead a service at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Laird Funeral Home, Amboy. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery, Amboy. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to 4:30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
