Betty L. Booker Crook, 64, died Thursday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Crook was born and raised in the Romeo community and was a daughter of the late Margaret Elizabeth (Teague) and Bertie Bryant Booker. At the age of 15, the family moved to Limestone.

In 1960, she moved to Nashville, where she was manager of Giant Foods of America Deli until 1977, when enrolled in nursing school at Baptist Hospital and became a certified nurse technician.

In August 1993, she retired from Baptist Hospital and moved back to Greene County.

Mrs. Crook was a member of Mount Hebron United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband: Noel A. Crook Jr.; a daughter: Claudia L. Crook of Greeneville; a son: Michael Henson of Tulsa, Okla.; two grandchildren: Beverly Henson and Melissa Henson; three great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law: Billy Joe and Ann Booker of Johnson City; four sisters and two brothers-in-law: Audra D. and David Hensley of Limestone, and Joyce A. Reynolds, Joan E. and John D. Broyles, and Ginger F. Cutshall, all of Greeneville; two former brothers-in-law: Jim Reynolds and Ronnie Cutshall; five special nephews: Mark Wood, Carter Booker, Brian Munsey, Jonathan Reynolds, and Benji Hensley; three special nieces: Elizabeth Booker Johnson, Crystal Wood Turner, and Heather Cutshall; six special great-nieces: Ashley Holly, Kate Booker, Damaris Wood, McKinsey Reynolds, Hollie Munsey Brown Gray, and Whitney Jade Pitts; and three special aunts: Miss Mattie Campbell of the Romeo community, Ms. Lula Hatley of the Sulphur Springs community, and Ada Shelton.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul E. Booker.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening and Saturday evening at Kiser Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Kiser Funeral Chapel with entombment in GreeneLawn Mausoleum. The Rev. Lon Broyles will officiate.

Active pallbearers will be David Tomlison, Carl Tomlison, Mark Allen, Brian Munsey, John Reynolds, Mark Wood, and Benji Hensley.

The members of Mount Hebron Church will be honorary pallbearers.
