Lloyd Joseph Romero, 35, Rt.1, Box 198 Ocean Springs, in the Latimer Community, was killed at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday when shot on a deer hunting trip. He was employed as a pipe welder in the construction business.
He was born Jan. 28, 1941 in d'Iberville, son of Mrs. Earleen Johnson Senseney, North Biloxi, and the late Clovis J. Romero.
Mr. Romero was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in North Biloxi.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Alice Smith Romero, Ocean Springs; four sons, Joey, Boyd, Chris and Doyle Romero, Ocean Springs, and one sister, Mrs. Loretta McCravey, North Biloxi.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 10 p.m. at Bradford-O-Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 8:30 p.m.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Biloxi Cemetery.
